Hello to all of my friends.

This blog is titled, "Living My Own Reality"

There is the Israel that the world knows, the Israel that the media knows, and the Israel that I know.

Over the next 3 years, you will see my growth and entry into the most wonderful place I have ever known.

This Blog is the start,

a new beginning,

a continuation,

to a wonderful life in Israel.

As I approach my last seminar in preparation for my move paperwork is almost finished.

Garin Tzabar (גרעין צבר) This is such an amazing organization that I will be apart of as I go over and begin my Ulpan (Hebrew)

27 or so kids from the Northeast Region of the US (mostly from NY, PA, and DC..1 from VA).  This year there are over 350 people going with Garin Tzabar with more than 15 groups from around the US and the world.  For more information about Garin Tzabar check their website 

Thus far in my plans I have had 3 seminars to prepare me for such a huge life change.  The first seminar focused primarily on the program and what they offer and we spent a lot of time discussing why we want to move to Israel and go with this program. The second seminar was dedicated to learning a lot about the army and understanding our commitment to the country by serving.  We had interviews with an IDF (Israel Defence Force) representative. The third seminar was at a camp and was a time for our Garin (seed), or group, to really bond and come together as a unit.  Almost all of us going over do not have our parents there and as such we will be the support system for each throughout our 2 yrs in the army.  We did so many team-building activities and games that challenged our skills individually and as a group that made us realize and understand our strengths and weaknesses and how to think for the group to solve problems within the group dynamic.

As I approach this next seminar, I urge you to follow my blog to stay in touch and to see how I change and what I experience on the road to Israel.
